TWEEN ATTIC HANGOUT DESTINATION
Project
With its abundance of natural light, this basic attic space had a lot going for it, but needed to be updated functionally for a growing family to use. The goal for the room was to be able to host sleepovers and the occasional house guest - a TV, snack bar and bed option were on the list of must-haves. A custom built-in bed acts as both a couch and bed, with charging stations and storage. Custom millwork on the ceiling and a snack bar and media center cover all the bases for fun.
Inspiration
The tween girls wanted the space to be an experience in itself, with some drama and plenty of color and pattern. We dialed into wallpaper options that were feminine, yet not too juvenile, and added in some bohemian elements for a one of a kind space.
Clients
Repeat clients with three children moving into the teen and tween years, they wanted to create the ultimate hangout space for their daughters and friends in an overlooked attic space. The space needed to be exciting, but durable enough for sleepovers and the occasional overnight guest.
